It's spitting get inside, get inside now, its that fine rain!

Thursday morning and Paul decided he was leaving early! KNOB! He had to get up and go at 9, I just went back to sleep and woke up about 11. I lay in bed for a long time, I watched the whole first series of Phoenix nights and then watched Godsend. Please do not watch this movie, it has a great idea and a great actor (De niro) but the ending is lame. It wasn't until about 5 that I actually got out of bed and started to do something!!

Football was at 6 so I got ready for that and James came too. It was really good this week, it was mostly HBOSer's and it was a good match. Although, my carpet burn and blisters are bloody sore!!! After this I made my way back to Rhoose and had to sort out the place, before going and getting a Chinese for me and Josh. We watched a few episodes of Phoenix nights and then went to bed, as we were both knackered!

Friday - had to go to work, but it was pretty easy. Had my interview feedback for the Team leaders job and it was very positive, looks like it was pretty close at the top and I just missed out. But, the management have said that they are going to stick me on a couple of training courses and hopefully get me ready for the next set of team leader jobs. Bonus! On the way home , the traffic was awful, and I had to pop into Tesco at Barry to get food and beers.
Josh was home and had invited a few mates round so we set up the PS2, Gamecube and karaoke machine downstairs in the lounge. The night was a blast. Ben's rendition of My way was great, Josh kicked ass to Aint that a kick in the head and Gareth rocked on with the nest of them!! The crate of beers took a battering and so did the neighbours ear drums, as when Hannah came over she said you could here the singing at the top of the street! check out the photos here!

Have to say that I had a right laugh and I think everyone else did too. Ben left bout 1ish and everyone else retreated to bed bout 2!!

Saturday - Slightly hungover but not too bad!!! Tidied the whole house and went and picked up the folks from the bus station. They had a great time and the top I had from Canada is well nice! Should keep me warm on those lonely nights! Dropped them all back to Rhoose and then had to drive my own piece of crap car back to Cardiff! Boo friggety hoo! When I got back I had loads to sort out, before sitting down with X factor, a beer and some grub. James and Nora went out, so I quite happily saw Rowetta get booted off show! Stayed in and saved some cash! Ended up watching more Phoenix nights and going bed bout 2!

Sunday - Got up early and walked into town to get some xmas presents. Was quite a successful trip, as I purchased a few goodies, went and saw Josh in Crane's and bought a guitar pedal and wire. Didn't seem that busy in town, although I think I spent about an hour in the new HMV!! Got home and chilled out with my new toy. Pumped up the volume and rocked out for a bit. James and I then went over the Albany and watched Liverpool vs Arsenal. Great game and before Owzy says anything - I never drank!!! Well, the end result was a surprise with Neil Mellor belting in a 25 yard pearler in the 92nd minute. Arsenal were stunned, we went home happy!
The pedal again took a battering before we watched Harry Potter 3 again and I went bed bout 10! Shattered I was!

Oh what a night! Late November back in 2004!

Wednesday night - The Grizzly one had arrived from Port Talbot and the beers immediately started to flow. Owzy, I know what your going to say and yes booze was involved again! We set ourselves a challenge of finishing all the beer before we left, and the taxi was booked for 8. We didn't quite do it, but we weren't far off!

First stop was Lloyds bar - DEAD!! This place was awesome when it first opened, now its just plain crap. Still we stayed for a pint and a gawp at a hen night!

Next stop The Gatekeeper - Rather quiet! We immediately switched to bottles and had a few. I bumped into Chris a.k.a tuns of fun (Matt J's housemate) and we made our merry way somewhere else.

The Prince of Wales - A little bit busier - Few more bottles before hitting the shots.

The Walkabout - Very quiet - Not sure what has happened to a Wednesday night as it used to be rammed in town when I was a student. Anyway, we managed a bottle in here before we again made our merry way.

The dilemma then struck, where the hell do we go to finish the night off?? Well, we choose Riza and opted for Riza 2 as neither of us had been there before. We queued for a little while, before getting in and ordering a bottle of WKD each and a whole bottle of white wine! Big mistake, and you'd of thought that I'd learnt my lesson from last time. Anyway, it was rammed in Riza and the totty was very limited, so limited in fact that Paul decided he had to pull a big fat munter!! I laughed and then hastily walked away. The night had been a laugh and we were both demolished so food beckoned. Chippy lane! Oh how we love! Chips and curry sauce and we started to make the long walk home. We made a weird route home and as you can tell my the photos, we had a little fun.

When we got by the museum, we were having a right laugh and were even joined by some random girl and a crazy, pissed up New Zelander. Bumped into Rob Ahearne outside the student union and he was battered too, and that's all I can remember, except for walking down towards my house shouting DING DANG DOO! Bed god knows when!!

Garlic Bread................Garlic.................Bread

I cannot believe that is already Wednesday this week! It has flown by and the majority of it has again been excellent, if a little tiring. I suppose that'll I'll just pick up from where I left off!

Sunday evening - I picked josh up from Crane's and we made our way up to Rhoose. Cooked some grub and generally just arsed around. Hannah came over again and we watched Dirty Dancing. Had a good laugh, she's a nice girl. After Hannah left me and Josh had a bit of an episode with the airing cupboard door. Now, it's past ten o'clock at night and our work gear and school uniform and drying the airing cupboard. The trouble is the lock has gone on the door and the door will now not open. When you used the handle, the bolt just sat there and didn't move. Josh knew what to do though as it had happened before. Just yank it as hard as you could. Well, that didn't work and half an hour later, we were both knackered and had cuts all over our hands. Time was getting on and the door still wouldn't open. Ok, we thought, why don't we just take the handle off. Out came the mini tool kit and the handle was screwed off, but it didn't make a difference as the door still wouldn't open. Ten minutes more of yanking and that was it, the hinges were coming off. We found a metal kebab skewer and pulled out the hinges and luckily the door came off. Hope your laughing cos at this point I was well pissed off!!! We got the door back on and wedged a book in it, so that it wouldn't shut. We retreated downstairs for a cup of tea and a box of mc mini's from our previous tea time trip to Mcdonalds. Watched a bit of Red Dwarf and then went to bed.

Monday - I got up at 6.40. AHHHHHHHHHH!! That really hurt!!! Everything was going fine, until I couldn't fine my wallet.Searching the house and the car and it was still no where to be seen. I must of left it in Mcdonalds, so I tried ringing them but couldn't get an answer. Panic!!
Finally found it, wedged under the passenger seat of the car! How it got they I have no idea. So, I ended up getting work bout 10 minutes late, but the computer systems were down so it was alright. Work was alright and I had two hour long meetings in the afternoon, so it flew by. I was actually stuck in work till bout quarter past four, so I guess I paid back the time!!

Josh had ski-ing after school, so I stayed at the flat in Roath till 7.30. During this time, I completed a four mile run. This was the longest I'd run for continuously for a very long time, and when I was approaching the end of my second lap around Roath park, I felt so good that I thought about going around again, but I bottled it as I didn't know how I'd feel the next day!! I went and picked up Josh and his mate, and made our way back to Rhoose. Had to pop off in Tesco's to get some tea, and Josh bought Peter Kay live at the top of Blackpool tower. Funny as hell! It was so good, we ended up watching twice. Going through a bit of a Peter Kay phase at the mo. He came out with some classics on this DVD and if you ain't seen it, do!

Tuesday - This time I made sure I was in work on time, but it was a pretty shit day. And that's enough said on the matter. Was very glad when I finished at 4, made a dash back to the flat and then went to Llanwit major to pick Josh up from his basketball game. We took the dog for a walk and rented out Elf with Will Farrell. Thought it was alright but not as good as everyone had said. Yes, it was funny but it was kids stuff really. Has a marathon session on the PS2 and went to bed.

Wednesday - DAY OFF! Josh had a day off school so I had booked it off work too. Got up late and had a bit of a tidy up before nipping into Barry to sort some logistics out for mother goose. Got my hair cut and the Demon Barbers and dropped Josh to Llanwit again as he had another Basketball game. In Barry, the Peter Kay phase continued as the Phoenix nights boxset was priced up wrong in WH Smith so I took advantage and got it ridiculously cheap!!! Now, I'm in Roath again waiting for Grizzly to arrive for a big night out in Cardiff. Student night, day off tomorrow, could get messy!!

Max and Paddy - The Hob nob of the biscuit world Posted by Hello

Ding Dang Doo

Another busy week and this is the first chance I have has to even have a sit down next to the old computer. Have had a very positive week and am in such a good mood today that everyone will be thinking that its snowing. Oh, hang on it is!!! Oh the hilarity!! In quite a silly mood today, possibly due to lack of sleep or that I have actually really started enjoying myself again, and I'm certain that everything that has gone on recently has gone on for the right reasons. Anyway, the last update left us on Tuesday, so it comes a re-cap of the week.

Tuesday - Finished work at 8 and had finally managed to pull my head out of my ass and look forward to going to the cinema. Bridget Jones 2. Likeable, but re-hash of the original. The best lines again go to the incredibly sleazy Daniel Cleaver. It was funny don't get me wrong and the company was good. James and Nora came along, and we met Matty J and Julia. Got home and it was already quite late, so it a case of grabbing some munch and then going straight to bed.

Wednesday - Had to work 8 till 5 to make some hours up for a forthcoming day off, but the day really flew by with the new SLT work. The England game was on in the night and James and I had really been looking forward to it. We might of well of not bothered. A right old pile of horse crap, which bored us both silly. Yes, the Racism was disgusting, but I've heard worse in the English divisions, so everyone really should stop being so righteous. As for Rooney, give the kid a break, if I was that good and that much pressure on me, I want to kick the shit out of some diving Spanish bastards too!!!

Thursday - You may recall, last Thursday was an awesome day. This one kind of followed the same theme. Work was ok and I again had to work till 5. Time went fairly quickly, and the place was quite empty when everyone disappeared to go to John's funeral. After work, it was football down Leisure Leagues again. This time I felt much better, and my fitness is certainly coming on with my running going nicely too. We've booked and paid for the next 5 weeks so we all have to go too! After this, it was straight home and a shower and change before I walked to meet Matty J and Dolph so we could go to the after party in Kiwi's for John's funeral. When we got there, everyone was celebrating his life. It was quite reminiscent of a wake, and there was going to be a lot of aching heads the next day. A few beers, turned into 4 or 5. Then add whisky and coke, before Matty J insisted on doing aftershock. We all got involved and the next round was paid for by Paul Gray!! It was at this point when things get a bit sketchy. The music was pumping and everyone was having a right laugh. Paul Gray was supposed to be kipping at my house, and the Philly beckoned. Had a chat with Vikki Coles and she seemed really glad that I had come, and I was too, cos Vikki supported me a lot when the dead duck day occurred. In the end, no Philly, and I went home alone. Thank god, as I knew that work tomorrow was going to be punishing!

Friday - Ouch! Hungover beyond belief and the only thing that helped me get through it was the fact that everyone else was exactly the same!! Honestly, it was like a hungover club. People piling down for breakfast to try to soak up some of last nights booze. Everyone joking about. Even though, I was evil, I had a really good day. It was a jovial workplace on that Friday afternoon. When, I got home Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban had arrived, so the viewing entertainment was set. James and Nora went out for a drink, so I stayed an chilled with the PS2. Then Max and Paddy came on, and I laughed so hard I was nearly sick! Peter Kay is a legend, and this show was the funniest thing I had seen in a long time. Ding dang doo is already becoming a very repeatable catchphrase, and no doubt I'll be annoying people all week with it!
Please catch this repeat on Wednesday night, if you missed it!! I managed to watch about 45 minutes of Harry Potter before retreating to bed!

Saturday - Had to go to work again! How unlucky first week on SLT and it was my Saturday. It was actually quite good in work again!! No bullshit! Went very quickly, and I managed to get a lot done. When I finished, I had to go to Rhoose and start the week of house sitting. When I got there, it was already nearly 3.

The rugby - The nearly men - Awesome performance, but ultimately we still lost. Gutted

The guitar came out and the PS2 and me and josh just chilled out.
Josh was off to a party in Llanwit, so I dropped him up there, which was quite scary. It was torrential rain, pitch black and I'd never driven my mum and dads car before! Made it home safely though, and then Hannah came over and we watched Harry Potter but spent most of the time chatting. She left bout 10.30 and I waited for Josh to come back. He arrived back bout 12 and wasn't that pissed, and we were both shattered so we went bed.

Sunday - Got up late cos Josh had forgotten to put his alarm on. So we rushed to get him to work on time, and we just made it. Back home now, waiting for 5 to come and I have to pick him up again.

Dreams suck

Well, Monday involved a lot of talking!! I started back on SLT today and it was ok, had to do training so the day went fairly quick and finishing at 4 again is a bonus! Thanks to Karen and Mike who helped me out. When I got home, I had promised myself that I had to do several tasks before sitting round with the ps2. Anyway, I did succeed. I updated the blog fully and ironed some clothes, cooked myself some food, watched the end of Thirteen which is awesome by the way. My friend Anthony who was the first person i met in Cardiff Uni rang me and we chatted for about 45 minutes!!! He had his jaw broken about 6 weeks ago, sounded bad but he's better now. He's applying for jobs all over the shop (sounds familiar) and good luck to him! Will see him in January, can't wait. Got off the phone with him and managed to squeeze a few goes in on the PS2 before resorting to the guitar. The guitar seems to be really helping me at the moment, something I can stick my head in and forgot all the shit that continues to fly around my life. Then, the phone goes again and its my lovely friend Bex Kennedy. Damn, I love this girl. We had a wicked chat for ages, and its like we've never been apart. When we used to sit next to each other in work, we always knew what the other was thinking and we always used to share secrets. We chatted for ages too, and I was chatted out when we finished. Anyway, Bex you know that I know that he loves you already, so get in there girl!!

After this I was feeling wicked, felt really loved!! My mum was on the phone during the day and I also managed to fit in time to talk to my younger brother, Josh. Sorry for embarrassing you in town mate but I just couldn't resist it! I'll pay for a cinema and takeaway night when we get together on Friday!!! GEOFFREY!!!! HAHAHA! (sorry private joke). It was getting on a bit now, but we stuck the Brotherhood of the Wolf on. What a wicked film. I couldn't keep my eyes open at the end because it is a bit of an epic, but I'll finish watching it tonight!! Kung fu mixed with period drama and scary ass wolves! Quality! Oh and it's French so your guaranteed a bit of the old rumpy pumpy!!

I went to bed feeling so happy, but when I i awoke at around 7 in the morning, I had hit rock bottom again. Dreams really do put you in a position that you just cannot escape andthats why they are scary. They can seem so real, yet when you wake up you know that it wasn't but they can still play on your mind for days afterwards. Put it this way, I won't got into details because its just not worth it. I had to work a late night in work, so I lay in bed for a long time this morning trying to get back to sleep, but I failed. The dream was continually floating around my head. It caused me to really have a bad morning and I was quite close to approaching a relapse. I tried to be strong and eventually I fought the law, and I won!! It's now twenty past 7 and I have 40 minutes left in work. I am on my break so don't worry I'm not abusing work! As soon as I get home we're off to watch Bridget Jones 2, and then we're into the second half of the week.

As Dave Lister says in Red Dwarf 2 to Rimmer - Be Strong big man.
Rimmer's reply - Smeg off dog food breath!
Today, my strength came through and I think I'm returning to the person that I was before her. Happy go lucky, always up for a laugh and not afraid of change. My brother Matt said that he didn't like who I'd become with her. That really made me think, and I certainly had changed, let's hope that I can change now for the better and take over the world. Watch out Earth, the slimes coming home!!!

Weekend, too much spare time!

Saturday involved being hungover for far too long!! I decided to get up after a poor nights sleep at about 11. I woke James up and we went to the Albany to watch Spurs versus Arsenal. What a game. James must of broken his curse as the score was 4-5! One of the best games I've ever seen live. Stupid result with some wicked goals!! Didn't drink though, I was on my best behavior! I went to Asda afterwards to get some grub and ended up buying WWE Smackdown vs Raw. When I returned, me and James watched a great game of rugby with Ireland beating those no good arrogant people, South Africa! After that I played on my new game and was blown away by how good it was. Respect to the PS2! I doubted you one day, now you rock!

After X-Factor, I was back over the pub again and I met up with Jo Jo McMullen. It was good to see her and I wish that I'd stayed longer and got pissed with her, but I had to get some food! We had a great chat and her boyfriend Alex seemed really sound, and well into PS2!! Her friends also seemed really nice and I had a great time. When I got back, tea took ages, otherwise I would of popped back over, but it was too late then and I was a bit drunk again, after drinking some red wine!!! More football and PS2 before popping off to bed!

Sunday and I kept my promise to myself to go running. My legs were aching a bit and I'm slightly worried about the previous injury but I got some ice on it afterwards and it felt better. My busy weekend continued and I went to town with Nora and James. I had won some vouchers from HMV in work so I spent them on two new DVD's, Thirteen and Brotherhood of the Wolf. Town was freezing, and its obvious that a very cold winter is coming our way! When I got home, it was time for some more pub and football action. Newcastle vs Manchester Utd and another cracker! 3-1 to united but a very entertaining game! I refrained from drink again!!

After this, I was shattered but we cooked a massive Roast Beef dinner which was amazing! Fair play to James the boy can cook! Mum and Cherrie came over because Josh and Dad had gone to watch Deep Purple in the CIA. They stayed for a while and everyone had a good chat. Watched Thirteen afterwards and then went bed.

Unplanned nights out!

Thursday was a very good day!! My first full day in work since monday but i actually had a good laugh! I was roped into playing 5 a side football by Matty J and Yeomans, but it was certainly worth it. Work was ok again, although, on a sad note one the team leaders died today and having worked with him on SLT, i was gueninely upset. The atmosphere in work wasn't great because of this but a real team effort and occured and everyone kept everyone else going. Finished work at 5 and raced home to get changed for football. I picked up Dolph, Matt and Chris and went down Leisure Leagues. We were all hanging out at the end, no one could breathe let alone walk!! Anyway, home and striaght in the shower before Dolph was outside picking me up to go bowling for Karen Tuckfields birthday. There was twelve of us altogether and i have to admit that i had a ball! (Get it! Ba boom boom cha!) The drinks flowed and the balls rolled. We played as teams and there was lots of mad celebrations and loads of laughter. This is were the night took an unexpected turn. Town on a school night is never a good idea, especially when no one else has to go to work the next day. I had to! The numbers reduced to 6 in town. Gemma and Karen both stayed for a while but then went home. Matt and Julia stayed a while longer before making a move. Perry had met his girlfriend so he stayed. I don't even have to tell you where we.....the Philly! Bumped into her sister again, and had a good chat about what i was up to etc and then went pole dancing downstairs!! Football, no food and jack daniels and coke had got me in a right mess. Managed to pull though and got a girls number!! I finally left bout 12.45 and got a taxi home. Nora and James thought that i had brought someone back with me, i hadn't i was just so pissed i was talking to myself!! HAHAHA!!!

Friday - World of pain!! A full day in work and i was ill. Even had to take a conveience spew in work. I survived though, by not having to ring customers, drinking water all day, and listening to radio 1! I found out today that i didn't get the team leader job, but they gave me a poistion on SLT so i still got a pay rise and i had some very positive interview feedback. Can't be all bad! The evening saw Rob Ahearne get dropped to mine and the beers started flowing. We got a taxi into town and went straight to the walkabout for a pint cocktail. The rugby was on, which always makes town a bit of a gamble. We went to a party in Yate's for one of Rob's mates sisters, but it was a bit poo. Katie Hughes turned up though and she joined are drinking circle! Off we went to Edwards, her sister was there again! I asked her this time if she was stalking me!! I was not getting drunk tonight even though i was drinking copious amounts of booze. anyway, went to the Philly and got onto tequila's but the rugby gamble hadn't paid off and there were no women to be seen! Gutted!!! I started to walk home and text the girl from the previous night. She turned out to be a pyscho and may have or may not have a boyfriend. Too be honest i don't care!

I can't wait for the weekend to be here

It's been a while since I updated the blog and part of me feels a bit guilty, but the rest of me says tough tits cos I've been to busy!! There's no major news that should overpower everything that happened this week, so I'll just go straight for the run down of what has been going in the life of Gavy Wav.

Tuesday - After the NTL man went, I caught the bus to town with Nora and went on a bit of a mad shop. Aimee was also meeting us in town but she couldn't get in until later on the afternoon so she joined up with when most of the shopping had already been finished. I bought quite a bit just because I wanted too!! The new River Island in town proved to be too much of a temptation and I had to buy quite a few things!!!! A new top and a new pair of trousers were purchased, and then the shopping continued elsewhere. Went to Burton's and bought another new top, nice brown one to go with my other new clothes that I'd bought recently. Had to buy the new Red Dwarf DVD and because I'm such a geek, I bought the limited edition one with a model of Starbug! Owain - I know you'll appreciate it!! Finally, went to H and M and bought a new jumper and a new pair of jeans! At this time, me and Nora were all shopped out. When I got home, I had to try on all my new gear! Felt like Christmas. The cinema beckoned in the evening, but due to timings we had to go to Ster Century rather than the favored UGC! This turned out to be a massive mistake, as it was CHAV city. Loads of little chavvy bastards ruining the film for everyone else who had a brain cell. The film was the American remake of the Grudge. Now, if you read my review on the film log, you'll understand that I loved the Japanese version. The remake is good, and quite scary but lacks dread. Also, having chavs farting, shouting and screaming will certainly remove any tension. Home to bed afterwards but a really good day!!

Wednesday - Back to work but it was an early finish day so it wasn't too bad. Still didn't find out about the team leader job but I can wait! Work was ok and I finished at 2.45 anyway. I got home and went on a bit of a mad one tidying the house! Before sitting down and just chilling out. Went over the pub then and watched the Newcastle vs Chelsea game. James came with me so it finished nil nil! He says he is the curse so I'll just agree with him. Ended up watching Bridget Jones Diary when I got back, always a good laugh.

Those damn dirty apes!

The joyous occasion of a Monday morning. Wake up, all of sudden you realize the weekend is over and you have to go to work. This morning, I woke up and just went ok, and got up, got ready and off I went. This was the first morning in a long time where I'd had a good weekend, good sleep and nothing had ruined it. Nothing at all. So, it's now been over 2 months. 10 weeks on Wednesday to be exact and how am I doing?

The answer is fairly complicated, I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the company and the cooches, but apart from that I don't miss anything else. Everyone seems to think that I'll find someone else, a lot better than her, and I think I will to, but the length of time it will take varies. Mum's like xmas is only 7 weeks away, you could have someone else by then. Possibly, a bit ambitious, as I'm not even looking. It was funny the other day though, when this girl from River Island started chatting me up. Mum thought it was great and it did make me feel good about myself. Not sure why I've felt compelled to write this on a Tuesday morning, waiting for the NTL man to arrive, just felt right. That's how I'm generally following things through at the moment, if it feels right then do it.

Anyway, still no news on the team leader position. The decisions have been made but HR have to sign it off, so I'm off work today so probably wont find out till Wednesday now. Felt confident over the weekend, that has slowly wained. Work was easy and quick. I was on collections, so I had radio 1 on all day, and made a list of good tunes that were out to download when I got home. Fave tunes at the minutes include The Libertines - what ever happened to the Likely lads, Gwen Stefani - What you waiting for? and Lemar - Is there any justice in the world? All a bit different, but equally cool tunes.

I went Asda after work to have a trot around and see what was about. Bought a few things and came home. After watching Paula win the New York marathon, I really wanted to start doing some serious running. I had been on the last two Sundays and my legs had held out, today was going to be a test. Not many people know that I used to be a really good runner. I don't mean that in a big headed way, as I certainly wasn't the next Seb Coe. In Uttoxeter, I was the best runner at the club, and was constantly winning races. I've still got all the press coverage and trophies, and it does make me feel sad that I let it slip. Towards the end, I pulled the interior calf muscle on each leg. 12 weeks of Physio which hurt more than anything I've ever experienced. I came back and started training, built myself back up and then I did it again. 10 more weeks and I'd had enough. After this point, I slowly hit the slopes of drink, going out and not running! University killed it. I have managed to run the Barry Waterfront race twice since I've been in Cardiff. Both just average performances, with not enough training. I also ran the Cardiff half marathon fun run, a few years back and actually finished second. The end was great cos you got to run around the millennium stadium pitch. Anyway, after going off on this tangent, I went round Roath park, and after a bit a really banging tune came on the radio so I thought I'll test my legs. I picked up the pace a little and slowly got quicker and quicker. I felt good, and I was soon sprinting. This continued for about 400 meters, then I slowed and carried on going. I felt really good, and although I had a slight twinge in my left calf, it held up nicely. Bit of ice when I got back, and the leg felt fine. I think I'm going to try and Join a local club, and start up again. Motivation is there at present, just need to keep it there.

After the run, I nipped down blockbusters and rented 21 Grams. This film is genius, beyond genius. If you haven't seen Amores Perros, then go see it as its by the same director, Alejandro González Iñárritu. This guy has only directed a handful of films, but he already has his own style through complex story telling. I beg you please go see this film. James wouldn't watch it because he said it was too depressing. Far from it, the jumbled presentation of the film makes you concentrate, makes you think about the characters emotions. I will definitely buy this film now. Naomi Watts is beautiful, Penn just performs out of his skin, and Del Torro always shines. Nora really enjoyed the film too, and we both chatted about it afterwards, and got onto Spanish cinema. I'm in love with it at the moment, and its cool cos Nora has seen most of the same Spanish films that I have.

Right, the NTL man has just left, I've used the phone already to phone the incompetent council regarding my council tax refund and they are still dicking around!! Never mind. Off to town now to spend some serious cash. Still keeping those fingers and toes crossed for that job.

The storm is over now

Interesting week to be honest. Certain amount of stability which seems to of made a genuine difference. Not that much to report from the start if the week but a few interesting tit bits towards the end!!!

Monday - Work wasn't too bad. Was doing collections again which killed some time. In the evening, I bought shrek 2 and watched that with J, N and Aimee. Very funny film, even on repeat viewings!

Tuesday - Collections again but this time I had headphones and just listened to tunes on radio 1 all day. This was a good idea which turned bad after listening to too many songs that brought up memories. Tuesdays seem to be a bane of my existence at the moment, but I got through this one and even found out that I had a team leader interview. Well, it certainly surprised me.

Wednesday - Back to normal work, and preparation for the interview. In the evening, I did some more work for the interview but then went to the Cinema to watch Shark Tales with Aimee. The film was funny as hell, and not at all what I had expected after the critical mauling the film had taken. Very adult film, similar to the simpsons with the number of film references. Got home and chilled.

Thursday - The day of the interview. It wasn't till 3.00pm which made it quite difficult to concentrate in the morning, but luckily I had to prepare for a film quote quiz which I was doing in a town hall. It went down quite well, and everyone said they liked it. I just thought it was a good laugh to get up in front of everyone. The interview soon came and I think it went well. So, touch wood, fingers crossed etc etc, cos I wouldn't mind getting this job!!! Came home and watched the butterfly effect with Ashton Kucher. Very good film, if a little dark. The ending is really quite sick so be prepared for a horrible feeling inside for the last 30 minutes.

Friday - Early finish. Work was good again today, as I had training and was back downstairs on collections. Made the time go fairly quickly, but we didn't hear about the job. Some problem apparently, so it will now be Monday. Got home and had a marathon session on pro Evolution soccer, before deciding that I didn't want to go out in the night. This was the first Friday night since the dead duck day that I haven't gone out. I just felt like I didn't need to! Good hey!

Saturday - Got up and went to town with my Mum and Dad. Dad gave me a pair of kickers. Lush brown shoes which I had to wear out in the night!! Mum also got me a wicked shirt. Hopefully, wear it out next Friday!!! I've got to do a week long stint of brother and house sitting when they go to Canada. Got home and watched the rugby. Great match same the ref was a wanker. But, me and James had a good time. Got ready then and went to TGI Friday's for a meal for Sara's leaving do. Matt Ford was there, and Becky which was cool. Had a massive burger and felt full afterwards. Too full!!! There's a few photos so I'll stick them on the Son of...... Got back and aimee came down so we could go to town but we just went to Albany and had a few drinks.

Sunday - Nothing all day!!! I watched the New York Marathon and just chilled out. Feeling very good this weekend, and even though I haven't done much I have still had a real good laugh. So, tomorrow the day of reckoning, but if I don't get it, at least the new Red Dwarf DVD is out!! Oh, its cold outside....

It's Half Term is it

The Photos can be viewed at this link!

Friday continued.....
The first stop was the Gatekeeper where we quickly got a complete round in. Some very young girls had entered and I made a comment about half term which didn't go down well. The dirty look we got said it all!!! Anyway, we went to Whispers and it was dead so we moved over to the Prince of Wales, where the whole of NBU had congregated!! The usual suspects were present and correct. Nora turned up and we all carried on drinking, until the whole group made a mass exodus to Whispers of the HBOS Halloween party. It was a shame that no many people from CMS turned up, but the NBU guys need us proud and showed what a party should be like. Matty J still couldn't get a photo with both eyes open, Paul Gray wet himself and we have photos to prove it. BBM was smashed and Mathias was just plain scary!!! James was dancing so he must of been wrecked.

It was now getting on a bit, so Paul, James, Nora and I all made an exit to the Philly. This was where a big mistake was made. I had a brain wave that me and Paul had a bottle of house white wine between the two of us. Never again! The damage his caused was painful. Although, at the time it was a great laugh. It wasn't long before we were on the dancefloor. I had my bum pinched and I turned around to see Andrea's sister. We had a quick chat which was cool, before I asked if SHE was around. Jo said no, I said wicked and off I went to dance the night away! Managed to score with a couple of nice girls, well, they both grabbed me, but they were still nice and I didn't even have to try! Perhaps, its not that bad being single!! Paul had pulled too, but before long it was near kicking out time. Bumped into my ex before HER when I got outside so had a quick chat and then bundled my way home. James used the words 'You were a mess'! I happen to agree.

Saturday - Recovery time.
Woke up about 10 and didn't feel too bad. Paul had to go and play football, bless him, and he didn't look good!! James was rough as hell too, so he went to get some food. He came back with a burger king, which helped immediately and then made me feel a lot worse. James stuck Lethal Weapon 4 on (possible the best hangover film ever) and we watched that before I went back to bed. I was supposed to go to Bristol for my auntie's sisters birthday, so I got dressed and walked to town. I drank half a pint and then chucked up and walked all the way home!! I was hanging!!!
Got back and James was still rough so we watched the usual Saturday night TV, and chatted about what school was like. This was a good laugh and certainly took the thought of feeling ill away. Nora got back about 9.15 and we ordered a takeaway. Curry all the way! Was pretty good, and we had chatted and watched TV.

Sunday
Woke up about 1, and went running around Roath park. It was at this point I realised it was only 12!! Damn farmers and their stupid clocks!! The rest of the day, I spent doing nothing, except making a wardrobe which took ages and was hardwork! After this, I went up to pick up my younger brother from Crane's and took him back to Rhoose. The folks were in fine form, and I had a really good time up there. Lush cooked dinner, a go on donkey Konga. A brilliant new Nintendo game where you have to play the bongo's! Mum had bought me a new shirt and Dad had bought a new Ben Sherman jacket which was too big, so he's swapping it for a smaller size and giving it to me. Well chuffed with that!!! I left there feeling wicked and big thanks to Josh, Mum, Dad and Cherrie. When I got back, I was still in a wicked mood, so the household sat down and watched 40 days and forty nights. Great film, really funny and actually quite reflective considering my recent situation. Good weekend, thanks a lot to everyone involved!

The Party is in full swing! Posted by Hello

Before the Storm.............

This is my second attempt at writing this update. My PC crashed on Saturday after writing a couple of days worth and the motivation to re do it has been severely lacking. Anyway, I can't even remember what I wrote then so I'm going to have to start it off from scratch.

As weeks go, I must admit that at times I struggled and at other times I had an awesome time. I guess that pretty much sums up the last month, as I look back now and look at what I've done, where I've been, ladies I've met, new friends I've made and it doesn't seem as bad as it does on the sour chocolately exterior! Looking back (Over my shoulder!!), is something that I shouldn't really do, as it certainly brings about too many what if's and maybe's which have a tendency to mess up your head and completely ruin a day or two. So, after this psychological mumbo jumbo, I'll get into what I've been up to.

Thursday - Good day. Work was only a short one. 9 till 2.45 and I was very busy after this. Had a few meetings in work too with higher management which was interesting. Went straight from work to get my haircut by my Nan's and then picked her up to take her shopping at Asda. Grampy was at the hospital again, having his eyes checked over this time. Nan had taken a tumble up the stairs and had bruised all her arm and managed to carpet burn her forehead. I joked and said that the pair were like an episode of Casualty. Nan retorted with 'I'm buying my own bed up there'! Nan's are great!! So, we went to Asda and she went and got all her bits and pieces, whilst all I bought was some new bed sheets and duvets etc. Exciting huh?!

Dropped Nan home and this time I managed to avoid her trying to give me money. I flatly refused and almost had to escape before it was enforced on me! Made me feel good afterwards. Got home and had a bit of mad half hour, where I tidied my room and made my bed with the new sheets (I know its an unnecessary detail but the punchlines coming I promise!!!). I sat down and put some information down on a new job application form, before James and Nora finished there bits and pieces and we all sat down for tea! Steak, chips and peppercorn sauce! I was rammed, and then we had vienetta and M and M's!!! We watched Six Days Seven Nights, which was really quite bad, followed by Romy and Michelle's high School Reunion which was equally as bad, but did make me laugh, so can't of been that bad!!!

Friday - The Party
Work was ok, even the fact that I had to work till 5 didn't put a dampener on it. Just got in there, had a bit of laugh with the funniest Mel B/Bo Selecta answerphone message ever! James was waiting outside at 5, and we went and got beers from Asda. Straight home, and i walked into my bedroom to find that Megan, James's dog had managed to get into my room and make the bed a mud pit! I was not impressed, although we did both laugh and then just changed the duvets again! The Grizzly one arrived from Port Talbot. Mr Paul Levers dubbed Grizzly during the second year of Uni, dur to his hairy ass! The beers flowed and then the taxi arrived.
