I'm first at the scene to deliver aid, before the big boys get here!

The big boys are of course the paramedics! Peter Kay continues to astound me at how funny one guy can be. Josh had the Peter Kay Thing DVD for christmas and it is fantastic, and a brilliant lead up to Phoenix Nights. The little stories in the back ground and inter linking characters are so clever, look forward to the Max and Paddy DVD!

Anyway, this week as gone fairly quickly even if I've done very little. Boxing day was ok I suppose. A quick visit into town and I was shattered. First kind of going out into civilized world activity I'd done for a wild and it was bloody freezing. Bought Trainspotting, The Goonies and Straw Dogs on DVD and came home! Managed to nip over the pub, so me and James could watch the football. This was a good laugh and the whole pub seemed in a jovial mood, as they were singing along to the jukebox! Came home for food and television!

Monday and I braved town again! This time I met up with Aimee, who I hadn't seen for ages and had a real good laugh. Although this then tired me out even more than the day before, and at one point, I honestly thought I could put my hand through my arm it felt so weak! Anyway, bought a Bo Selecta calendar, a T Shirt from two stoned, the Waynes World DVD boxset and 3 books! Yes, books! I can read! I bought Beckhams autobiography, one of the follow up books to the Da Vinci Code and then a real surprise. Incompetence by Rob Grant! Yes, Rob Grant the legend behind the Red Dwarf series. Well, I was intrigued and the concept of the book sounded great. No one is allowed to be sacked for incompetence, stupidness or anything. This book is very funny and I ripped through it in 2 days! 160 pages in the first sitting, same again in the second! Couldn't put it down!

Tuesday - Was supposed to go pick up Josh but didn't have to in the end. Was going to go cinema but it was cancelled, so read me book. Watched Home Alone 2 and then Match of the Day!

Wednesday - Went and picked Josh up from Rhoose and then popped into Nans to say hello! Back to my gaff, and some guitar jamming before going to see Lemony Snicket's a serious of unfortunate events! Very black, dark film! I would say that it must only just get away with being a PG, as some of it is really really really dark! Jim Carrey is great although he doesn't have as much screen time as I thought he might. The story is really clever, and like I said its dark!!
After this we returned home in a happy mood to play on Prince of Persia on the PS2, as we'd rented it from the video shop! Pretty good, loads of blood, batter some undead - all in a days work!

Holidays are coming, holidays are coming

The lead up to Xmas wasn't particularly fun as my face still looked Michelle McManus. I was struggling to eat any food without being in crippling pain and to be honest I'd had enough. The films that were on television seemed to be getting crapper, but I had to entertain myself some way. James and Nora were both in work on Wednesday, so I just bummed round the flat on my own. I completed The Getaway for the PS2. Glad I only rented it, great game but I completed it with James help in 2 days. Back to the video shop to rent out Rocky Legends which just isn't as good as the original.

Have managed to watch a few films over the Wednesday, Thursday Friday days of just sitting around the house doing bugger all. Gremlins, Karate Kid, Snatch, Big Trouble in Little China, Shrek. Also did manage to escape the house on Friday, even if it was just to very quickly get my hair cut!

So Xmas was finally upon us, and it certainly felt strange this year. Woke up and made Nora and James some Bacon, Avocado and tomato sandwiched, then opened the few presents I had here. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas off J+N which was cool! Made our way up to my Mum and Dad's then. The Swelling has actually started to subside, but I still look like the elephant man!!

Had a few pressies and a great dinner at my mom's. Nora and James both said that they enjoyed it, so everyone was happy. Had some good laughs and even I managed to enjoy myself!! Got back to the flat and we just had a few beers and chilled out. The new Freeview box that I had purchased for the gang had gone now well and was already being utilized! The whole series 2 of Little Britain was on BBC3!

Boxing day was weird again as it was actually the first time in my whole life that I wasn't at my Mum's for the annual party. I just stayed at home, as I couldn't go just in case I gave the mumps to anyone!! So, I just kinda drank some more!!! Never mind hey! Roll on 2005, and thanks to everyone this year for there support. It ain't been easy but I've got to the point now where I can't be arsed to worry about it anymore. I've had a lot of time to think about stuff whilst I've been ill. As the Street's say - Let's push things forward!

Highs, Lows, Demons, Angels, Bumps and Lumps

It has been over a week since I updated my blog, and I don't feel guilty at all. I do have to say the novelty has worn off, although, I have had some busy days and nights, but the main excuse is being god damn lazy!

Last week in work is a bit of a blur. I was very busy and had lots of different things to do, which was good cos it didn't seem a chore. Monday was a nothing in the night day, I watched 50 First dates for the second day running. Really good film, surprised me on so many levels! Tuesday, I was busy in the night as I went straight from work to The Cayo with Miss Tuckfield, and then met Bex and Jo Barnes for some food. Had a good laugh and exchanged xmas presents. After this I went and met Matt James at the Springbok. The place was over run by Ronan Keating fans so we escaped to the comfort of the cinema. Blade: Trinity! Actually quite good, even though it was very similar to the other two. HHH made his film debut and was rather good.
Wednesday was my late night again, so didn't get up to much.

Thursday - Work, then on to 5 a side where only 5 people turned up so we played between us and we were absolutely knackered!! Still good fun though. In the evening, I had to restrain myself to not go out on a school week. First time for weeks. Can't really remember what I did in the night, but I think I just watched a film?! Who knows? And who really cares!!!

Friday - Boring again, stayed in to save cash and had to go to work the next day. The evening was spent with Max and Paddy - Ding Dang doo!

Saturday - The Boys Xmas party! - Work and I finished at one and raced back to Perry's house to start the celebrations. Dumped my stuff off and the car and went to town. Few pints in Lloyds before venturing into the Pool hall. Don, Perry, Matt and myself then got through 24 bottles of carslberg whilst playing pool for a couple of hours. Then onto the POW, where we had food and refreshments! Then back to Perry's house for the real fun to begin. We'd all agreed to where suits, and a portion of the kitty had been spent on musical xmas ties. The photos will be on the son of later! When we had finished getting ready, we got a taxi into town which dropped us off at the Slug and Lettuce. Don had a 25% off card! Superb!! We all looked the part in our suits and we battered each other when trying to get the other tie to play! Off to the Steam bar for a cheeky JD and coke, and then into Bar Cuba for several more!! We bumped into a couple of HBOSer's and a few of the football lads. Yeoman's was present, and we'd agreed to meet him at some point anyway.

From here we were all pretty wrecked so we went to the Philly. The weather was crap but we didn't care, and we just carried on drinking the JD's! The Philly was a mess. I can't really remember everything. We met Huw Jones and I had a laugh with him. Sometimes he can really crack me up! Had a few Xmas kisses, and generally had a good time. When we went to leave, we realized it had been belting it down with snow and the St Mary's street was looking very festive. A Great end to a great day and night.

Sunday - Felt ill, very sick. Went and picked my car up and couldn't keep anything down. Went to Bex's house to give her a xmas present, and then came back and slept. Woke up with a swollen, throbbing ..... Jaw! So took a trip to the hospital. Several blood tests late and it looked like I had numbs. Oh what a great year!

Monday/Tuesday - No work as I look like the Elephant man, and had to go to the GP and ring hospital etc. Definitely have got mumps and am feeling rough as hell. My head feels like it could pop, and the swelling looks gross. Have never felt like this before. Its crippling pain, and really uncomfortable. Looks like it's here to stay for Xmas too. Watched a few films though!!! I have watched Road trip, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Rosemary's Baby, Armageddon, Harry and the Hendersons, The Muppets take Manhattan! No daytime TV, just movies! Thank the lord for the kids being off this week, as I have watched some of my old fave's!!! Bigfoot was great!!

The week that lacked

Can't even try to remember what i did at the start of the week, so will leave that out but i have been busy again!

After work on Tuesday, i went to Bex Kennedy's house and had some tea and watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2004. I still think its really good and Bex hadn't seen it all the way through as she cacked herself last time!! Had a reall good laugh and a good old gossip!! Made me way home about 10ish and stayed up for a while as i didn't need to go to work till 11.

Work was fine on Wednesday and in the night, i did nothing except watch the I'm a celebrity documentary as i only finished at 8.

Thursday was football night, and the HBOS team ran the other team rampant. goals galore and some great team moves. Afterwards, i went and met Matt James in town an had a couple of hours in the Philly. nothing exciting happened but still had a good laugh and got a bit tipsy so it's all good!

Friday - i was knackered as i got up at 7 and went to work, not before getting a mcdonalds breakfast! It helped immesnly and so did only being in work till 11.30! Went home and chilled out and checked my emails. Had one from andrew weaver who used to work at card services and also one from Anthony from down in Cornwall. He was up in CArdiff and i'd only just realised so i rang him and he came over for a few hours. Watched a new comedy dvd he had, totally bill hicks. Thought it was a bit political/religous but some of it was pretty funny. Had to get ready then and go to Matt J's house as it was the HBOS xmas party. Here are the photos on a HBOS specific website! The night was really good, the food was top notch and everyone stayed around for the after food party. Got home about 3 and wasn't really that pissed!!

Saturday - woke up at 9 and was now really tired! My Dad had asked me to help him fit a central heating boiler at my Nan's so i got up and popped up to Whitchurch Road. Dad had rung me beforehand to make sure i was getting up and also to ask what i wanted from Mcdonalds for breakfast! I'd say you can't go wrong with a Sausage and egg Mcmuffin! Took till about 5 but we and Dad just got on with it and had a good laugh. Hint: When hungover for the second day running try not to find yourself up a 12ft-15ft ladder, standing on a window ledge, hanging off the window trying to bash a hole in the wall! Didn't do much for my head!

Came back home and just slobbed all night as i was really tired at this point. Just watched X factor (Well done Steve!) and match fo the day. After that i stuck on Swimfan, quite a good film. I wasn't expecting much but it delivered a couple of interesting twists.

Sunday - Got up and went running. Came back and went down the bay to get a few more xmas presents, then returned to watch 50 first dates on dvd. Again, this one pleasently surprised me and i found it to be really funny. Anthony came over again and we went over the pub to watch Arsenal vs Chelsea. Ended in a draw, probably fair result.

So there it is, the week that lacked. I was busy but something was missing. didn't feel particulary happy this week and found it tough at times to want to get out and do stuff. I did have a good time, don't get me wrong. Hopefully, the next couple of weeks will cheer me up!

The Legend that is the Ham Sandwich story!
 Posted by Hello

Ham or Cheese?

On Sunday, Dad, Josh and myself were in hysterics again over the legendary Ham sandwich incident. If someone said this me to right now, I'd crack up laughing. A lot of people I have told don't find it that funny, but I think you have to of worked in a situation where you could pull this gag off. I have. 3 months working with my Dad when I finished my GCSE's. Possibly, a contender of best 3 months spent working. Certainly, made me appreciate how much my Dad works his ass of for his family. Anyway, the story goes as follows.

My dad was working with a labourer called Mark at the time, and they were installing a cooker into some women's house in the Midlands. Dad walked up to Mark and said to him that the women wanted to know if he wanted a ham or cheese sandwich. The women hadn't said anything. So, Dad says 'Well, you better go and tell the women'. Mark trotts off to find the lady whilst Dad is now trying not to wet himself. Mark storms into the room downstairs and says 'I'll have a ham sandwich please'. The women probably a little shocked comes out with the classic line ' I don't know if I've got any ham'. Well, when my dad told me this story for the first time, he was laughing so hard that he couldn't finish the tale. He literally took him half hour to get his bodily functions under control.

The only downfall to the story was that the lady involved actually did make them some sandwiches, but they were disgusting but they had to pretend like they were enjoying them!! The amount of times that when I worked with my Dad we would mention this story and have to stop driving until we calmed down was criminal. Sunday was no exception. No one even said a word but we all knew that the others were about mention the Ham sandwich line, and I just creased. My dad saw me and he was gone. Both of us had tears rolling down our faces!

This story has become a family tradition and will forever make me laugh. Long live the legend of the ham sandwich.

A quiet night in me thinks

The weekend. The hangover still hadn't completely subsided, so I got up and had some munch before going over the pub and watching Chelsea versus Newcastle. Another awesome game! 4 nil to the blues and it was quite impressive, even if I do hate them. After this, I went back to the flat and had a jam on the guitar for a bit and then just monged in front of the TV. James and Nora went Asda and then when they came back mentioned about going to the pub. Wicked I thought, and then come back have some food and watch I, Robot.

I drove to the Woodville and we settled down for a few beers and a game of pool. Then James had the bright idea of saying let's go to town. He was joking. Me and Nora weren't. I went and bought a jug of carling and that was it!! We walked to town, and ended up in the Gatekeeper. A pint in there and Nora wanted to dance. I'm sure you can guess where this one is going, THE PHILLY!!! When we got in there, it was quite busy already. Nora got a bottle of wine in, but James didn't want it so I had half and Nora had half. Oh dear! Pole dancing, general drunken behavior and I was wearing a bloody jumper and trainers!!! Never mind. Just about to leave and the best Christmas song in the world came on. Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas! Everyone went nuts and the place was buzzing. We left then though, bout 12.30 and I decided to ring Owain! Good job he wasn't in bed! Taxi home and Nora managed to cook a spag bol when hammered! Good effort!!

Sunday - Wrecked again - Stayed in all day. Watched Friday the 13th, bit of guitar and then I picked up Josh and went up to my Mum and Dad's for a cooked dinner. Had a good laff and then returned to watch I, Robot. Awesome film, and contender for favorite of the year! Not your average blockbuster, a bloody good one for a start and a definite feel of the Minority Report to it.

Monday - Work - running - Bath - Done!

BBM loves the women!!! Nice one BEN! Posted by Hello

Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you

A whole week since I have updated the website and even I have to admit that its a pretty lame effort. I started this website as a way of helping me through the last couple of months but know I feel that I have reached a point where this web site is just become a diary and sometimes would probably be like looking at somebody else's holiday photos. In my defence though, I'm trying to keep it light hearted, but when speaking to Owain earlier today, he agreed that it can be sometimes be a bit of a chore. That's not to say that I don't enjoy this website and I know that a few people check it out every now again to see pictures etc, so don't worry I'm not about to jack it all together. Maybe just a re-structure!

As I haven't updated the site since last Sunday, the week has been quite busy, but I have been extremely tired. Possibly burning the candle at both ends ant helping. I can't even really remember what happened at the start of the week, so I'll keep it brief and focus on the main events of the week. Monday - Work - Running and finding out that James has got an irregular heart beat. All in all a bit of a weird day. Nora started work in Monsoon and really liked it, so she's happy.

Tuesday - Not a lot again, work and still no cinema club. It's dying on its ass to be fair!! I must of done something else though, but I honestly haven't got a clue!! Probably some television, maybe a film, who knows!

Wednesday - Got up for my late night in work and felt a bit shit. Just tired I think. When I got to work, I was immediately pulled aside and asked to step in as a team leader for the rest of the week. I was chuffed, had to look after James team, funnily enough, but he's off till next Wednesday until he gets his results back. Work went quickly, and we got back we watched King Arthur. Pretty poor effort but the last 30 minutes is one continuous battle which properly kicks ass!

throaty - Thursday is slowly becoming my favorite day of the week. Usually football, leads to drink and waking up on Friday feeling like a bear has shat in my head. This week was no exception. After team leadering all day, I finished at 4 and then chilled before getting ready for a xmas team night out. I got dropped to Matty J's house and had a few beers at the Claude before getting down the Wharf comedy club at bout 8.15. Voirrey, Marcus, BBM and a few others were present. Really good night, had a massive munch and watched 2 good comedians and another that promptly died on his fat ass! Not even the brilliant Thundercats T-shirt could save the poor sod. Apparently, there were more tumbleweeds in the Wharf that night than in the whole of America! A few bottles of house wine and I was mullered as was BBM and Matt. We went to town afterwards and went to the Philly! Another bottle;e of wine, then to a night of complete and utter drunkness! Can't remember a lot but I seemed happy so....!!! Got a girls phone number, and had a bit of a boogie. Real good night. Dolph turned up later and joined in the fun. The photos will be on the Son of... . This is when it starts getting really hazy. BBM and me got a taxi, god knows where Matt went. The taxi drive was swift, or I just cant remember it. I paid and got out the taxi, open the front door, turn round and Ben hasn't got out of the taxi and it's now heading of down the street. I rang his phone, but neither of us can remember the conversation so off he went. I went in and immediately crashed out. BBM on the other hand, ended up in someone else's house, was removed from there and then woke up back in St. Athens. Good night had by all then!

Friday - The worst I have ever felt in work without a doubt. The wine had killed me and I had to look after a team again today. Luckily, they went easy on me and I survived. Ok, so I had a head that felt like my brain was trying to escape through the front of my skull, but I lived to tell the tale and at 4 I was very proud of myself. Got home and just sat in the lounge all night. It hurt and even a wicked curry (made by Nora) could help me. Max and Paddy did though, as I laughed my hungover little ass off!! That'll ding dang doo for me. Went to bed about 12 after James and Nora has laughed at me for about an hour and a half, as I was constantly trying to doze off but not quite managing it!!!
